Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Manila. As a key member of the organization, you will play a vital role in providing support for application data needs and data modeling.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support application data needs and data models.
  • Collect and integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, external data providers, and streaming sources.
  • Design and implement efficient data pipelines.
  • Manage data storage and management by selecting appropriate database systems, optimizing data schemas, and ensuring data quality, integrity, scalability, and performance to handle large volumes of data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience in applying current information technology to specific business areas.
  • Background in SQL database management, including SQL DB permissions for read/write access, security users, admin accounts, etc.
  • Experience in PL/SQL and Oracle DB custom application development.
  • Experience with Distributed Database Architectures and database links.
  • Experience with Microsoft reporting/Macros.
  • Basic Python skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Fluency in SQL writing queries through Linq or similar methods.
  • Proficiency in understanding query performance/indexing.
  • AWS experience would be a plus.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Capable of working semi-independently with specified objectives, through interaction with supervisors and stakeholders. Customer relationships should begin to develop through the delivery of stable working solutions and follow-up.
  • Basic organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to complete assignments on time and with minimal error.
  • Active team member, practicing effective listening and collaboration skills.
  • Achieve all information technology objectives through the use of approved standards and guidelines. Completed work must be reviewed for conformance to standards, timeliness, and efficiency.
  • Interaction with all levels of Information Technology associates and stakeholders. The position may also interact with external customers to exchange technical expectations or obtain follow-up on testing results.
