Senior Procurement Strategist

">About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned procurement expert to lead our procurement function, driving strategic sourcing initiatives and process improvements.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to optimize procurement spend, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and streamline procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including operations, facilities, distribution, and marketing teams.
  • Skills Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the procurement team, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to succeed in their roles.
Qualifications:
  • Around 10 years of senior supply management experience in a financial services organization.
  • A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, engineering or a related area, preferably with a Master's degree.
  • Proven track record of delivering large savings and/or other value across spend via a strong team of procurement and purchasing professionals.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, change management, and communication skills.
  • Team player and can collaborate with stakeholders of various levels and business units within and outside the organization.
  • Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management, etc.
  • Industry knowledge in terms of broad industry dynamics on the buy- and sell-side.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.
  • Analytical mindset and creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches to further enhance and embed procurement policies and processes.
