Senior Data Engineer Role

This is a senior level position responsible for designing, developing and operating large scale data pipelines that support business analytics, reporting and AI/ML solutions.

  • We are looking for a highly experienced professional with expertise in distributed systems, ETL, big data pipeline, data architecture and engineering, data system design, development and operation, conceptual, logical and physical data modeling.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and operate large scale data pipelines to support business analytics, reporting and AI/ML solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data driven solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Act as a data custodian responsible for sourcing, preparing and delivering quality and trusted data to the extended team.
  • Buid and deploy machine learning and analytics models into production.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by implementing best practices and adopting new technologies.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Business Analytics, Engineering or Data Science.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, especially Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, Big Query.
  • Understanding of ETL, big data pipeline.
  • High level understanding of design patterns.
  • Expertise with diverse data modeling techniques.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to work as part of cross functional teams.
