You will work closely with the project accountant/analyst to perform duties such as verifying the correctness of GL accounts used for input VAT and payable accounts, recomputing amounts endorsed for payment, and matching purchases of materials to purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices.

  1. Reviews invoices to ensure they are within the correct quarter for VAT claims
  2. Checks GL accounts for correctness, particularly for input VAT and payable accounts
  3. Recomputes amounts to ensure accuracy
  4. Verifies that purchases match orders, receipts, and invoices
  5. Ensures project charging is accurate
  6. Verifies withholding tax is appropriate
  7. Confirms payments to subcontractors were approved
  8. Ensures transactions are due
  9. Verifies subcontractor billing is accurate
  10. Considers proper deductions for subcontractors

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Experience in project analysis functions, preferably 1 year or more
  • In-depth knowledge of project contracts and change order documents
