Senior Accounting Professional

As a seasoned accounting expert, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax services to our clients. Your expertise in Australian taxation regulations, compliance, and strategies will be invaluable in preparing and managing tax accounts, working papers, and annual tax returns.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex tax issues while collaborating with client managers and accountants. You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in key software tools and stay updated on Australian taxation legislation and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, working papers, and tax returns in compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations.
  • Utilize accounting software for financial accounts and tax returns, ensuring seamless integration with other business systems.
  • Manage client data and documentation securely, leveraging cloud-based tools to enhance collaboration and productivity.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting, providing actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Provide expert advice and troubleshooting on tax-related matters, including income tax obligations, capital gains tax calculations, and Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • CPA, CA, or tax-specific qualifications are essential for this role.
  • Experience with other Australian accounting standards is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Australian tax accounting, with proven expertise in tax compliance, regulations, and strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software, OneDrive, Outlook, and Excel for reporting and data management.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and professionally.
