Key Responsibilities

  7. Attending monthly training and team meetings as required.
  8. Additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Two years of work experience in the information security or related fields.
  2. Two or more current security-related industry certifications.
  3. Experience with SIEM platforms, firewall management, and endpoint detection and response platforms.
  4. One year or more of experience with EDR solutions, ESGs, vulnerability management, and content filtering.
  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to understand and analyze complex issues.
  6. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in an efficient manner with a high level of quality.
  7. Managing the security event monitoring and incident response ticket queues and triaging as necessary to meet established service level agreements.
  8. Promply transferring cybersecurity tickets to clients or internal points of contact.
  9. Clearly conveying indicators of compromise, isolation, and remediation steps.
  10. Analyzing and interpreting system, security, and application logs to diagnose faults, identify abnormal behavior, and rule out false positives.
  11. Effectively utilizing end detection and response tools to investigate alerts, anomalies, and building accurate timelines related to potential compromises.
  12. FOLLOWING established procedures to investigate, escalate, contain, or eradicate malicious activity.
  13. Developing and delivering written and oral reports to clients, teammates, and management to aggregate and communicate security information and metrics.
  14. Providing input and recommendations to improve internal processes and procedures related to SOC duties and responsibilities.
  15. Participating in threat-hunting activities and other special projects as needed.
