Backend Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our cross-functional team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our Elixir-based backend infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include leading the development of major projects, participating in product development, and contributing to shared codebases. You will also be responsible for conducting code reviews, debugging issues, and proposing platform improvements.

A successful candidate will have extensive experience as a Backend Engineer with Elixir, proficiency with Postgres or similar databases, and experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.). Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Next.js, React/Vue/Angular is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead development of major projects and cross-team initiatives
  • Participate in product development, provide feedback, and suggest improvements
  • Maintain understanding of product and engineering domains
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to shared codebase
  • Debug, solve issues, and propose platform improvements
  • Mentor engineers and participate in hiring, RFC discussions, support rotations
  • Design scalable, maintainable APIs
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as a Backend Engineer with Elixir
  • Proficiency with Postgres or similar databases
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
