About the Role

The Senior Communication Specialist is a critical role that involves developing and executing communication strategies to enhance stakeholder engagement and reinforce the bank's brand. This position requires alignment with business objectives and collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing strategic communication plans for various audiences, including press releases, executive communications, and thought leadership content.
  • Creating clear key messages for initiatives and fostering media relations, responding to inquiries, and proactively pitching stories to boost brand visibility.
  • Leading crisis and issues communication in coordination with internal teams, incident owners, legal, and risk, and overseeing internal communication campaigns to drive employee engagement and align with corporate values.
  • Collaborating with business units and sustainability teams to ensure consistent messaging and supervising the work of communication associates, vendors, and PR agencies.
  • Monitoring media coverage, social sentiment, and communication KPIs, and preparing reports for management, supporting events, sponsorships, and CSR communications.
  • Assisting in other requirements of the Corporate Communications team and performing related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of digital media, analytics tools, and stakeholder engagement best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, strong media relations and stakeholder engagement experience is preferred.
  • Experience in crisis communications and reputation management is preferred, leadership, collaboration, and project management capabilities are essential.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, commitment to the bank's mission and values.
