About the Role

The Occupational Health Specialist will be responsible for creating and implementing occupational fitness services, including preventive health management. This will involve tracking employee well-being, providing first-aid services, and referring employees to more experienced medical/health-care services when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in English and Tagalog, as well as knowledge of DOLE-OSH requirements and updated PRC License. Additionally, they should have intermediate knowledge with MS Office and BOSH Certification under OHNAP.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create and implement occupational fitness services, such as preventive health management.
  2. Track employee well-being and reportorial.
  3. Provide first-aid services for injuries and illnesses.
  4. Refer to more experienced medical/health-care services when necessary.
  5. Hold health advice sessions with sick employees.
  6. Validate and resolve health problems through background checks and/or home visits.
  7. Track, report, and handle occupational health threats.
  8. Monitor local and global epidemics, report on them, and provide advisories.
  9. Engage in employee activities that require medical assistance.
  10. Continued personal health education and credential maintenance is required.
  11. Manage the medical/clinical services of the organization safely and tidily.
  12. Assist with tasks assigned from time to time.
  13. Check pre-employment medical requirements and annual physical medical examinations to ensure employees are fit to work.
  14. Monitor and comply with government-related requirements.
  15. Check for appropriate HMO services/providers daily.
  16. Handle administrative functions.
  17. May be assigned ad hoc tasks from time to time.
  18. Manage vendor relationships, including administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • BOSH Certification under OHNAP – required
  • Intermediate knowledge with MS Office
  • Updated PRC License
  • Knowledge of DOLE-OSH requirements
  • Good communication skills in English and Tagalog
