Job Title: Android Software Engineer


At our organization, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Engineer to spearhead major features and drive the development of cutting-edge applications.


About the Role

As a key member of the Android team, you will be responsible for owning critical features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and shaping the future of our mobile products.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning and delivering high-quality features across multiple apps.
  • Collaborating closely with designers to develop innovative solutions.
  • Driving reliability metrics for key features and maintaining high standards.
  • Participating in cross-team discussions to ensure seamless collaboration between Product, Design, Engineering, and other departments.
  • Providing expert technical guidance and supporting fellow engineers.
  • Handling complex issues and unexpected challenges with ease.
  • Overseeing feature releases, ensuring timely delivery and providing nightly builds for QA teams.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in Android.
  • Deep understanding of Android components and architecture.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one successful Android app.
  • Strong product design intuition and empathy for users.
  • Drive to push boundaries of Android UI/UX and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Excellent testing skills and ability to write comprehensive tests.
  • Self-motivation to continuously improve the app and codebase beyond specifications.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests.
  • Superior communication skills and a problem-solving approach that prioritizes user needs.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with continuous feedback from leaders.

Bonus Requirements
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects in Android or similar ecosystems.
  • Experience working with iOS, Web, or NodeJS platforms.
