Job Summary

This is a remote bookkeeping position where you will manage day-to-day financial tasks, prepare management reports, and support accurate job costing.

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile accounts, process invoices, and manage expenses in Xero.
  • Capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices using Dext.
  • Process and track accounts payable and receivable.
  • Collaborate with the director to allocate materials, labour, and overhead to relevant projects.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
  • Prepare monthly management reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project cost summaries.
  • Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with external accountants for GST and tax matters.
Requirements
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in bookkeeping using Xero.
  • Proficiency with Dext or similar receipt-capturing tools.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping workflows: invoicing, reconciliation, tracking expenses, and job costing.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail in both financial and admin tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team where adaptability is key.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
