The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining data pipelines and reports supporting internal and external clients' reporting requirements.

The Business Intelligence Specialist will be responsible for designing and building sleek, interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, as well as crafting pixel-perfect, paginated reports in Power BI Report Builder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data models, tables, views, stored procedures, and queries to support business intelligence needs.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and other tools.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot data flows and reports to ensure timely and accurate delivery of insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and document requirements.
  • Participate in requirement/implementation meetings to ensure effective communication and implementation of solutions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in IS or CS from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing reports using traditional (e.g., SSRS) and modern (e.g., Power BI) BI stacks.
  • Proven track record developing and optimizing ETL / ELT pipelines using SSIS, ADF, or other tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Active Directory.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS and SSRS), T-SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
