Experienced Mortgage Assistant

Support our team as a highly experienced Mortgage Assistant to facilitate the loan process for mortgage brokers. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Loan Application Processing: Gather and verify client documents, prepare and submit loan applications, and follow up on loan progress.
- Client & Lender Communication: Serve as primary point of contact for clients, answer inquiries, provide updates, and coordinate with lenders, underwriters, and settlement agents.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory guidelines, conduct preliminary assessments, and stay up-to-date with industry regulations.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in mortgage support or back-office loan processing.
- Solid track record in preparing, submitting, and tracking loan applications for Australian lenders and aggregators.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and cloud collaboration tools.
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal, with ability to communicate confidently with Australian clients and stakeholders.
- Able to build rapport, explain mortgage processes simply, and manage multiple active loan files.
Availability to work AEST/ACST hours aligned with South Australia business times is essential. A quiet home office environment conducive to professional communication and confidentiality is required.
