Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and work on building high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for all aspects of data collection to support model training operations.
  • Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
  • Collaborate closely with Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power next-generation models.
  • Craft dataset roadmap to power next-generation consumer and enterprise products in collaboration with AI Team and Leadership.
Requirements
  • Hold BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • Possess 5+ years industry experience in software development.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
  • Show expertise in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with major Cloud Provider (we use GCP).
  • Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
