Occupational Health Specialist

First Balfour, Inc. seeks a highly skilled OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of First Balfour's Health Management System Standards (HMSS) in coordination with the Occupational Health Adviser/OHA.

Scope:

The OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST shall render medical services as defined by their duties and responsibilities in the projects, offices, facilities, and subsidiaries where applicable.

Reports to:

Directly reports to the Project Manager and functionally reports to the Occupational Health Adviser.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Deliver clinical support services to comply with FB's Health Management System Standards (HMSS), including but not limited to: Fitness for duty and medical surveillance, Occupational Injury and Illness case management, Medical Emergency Arrangement and Plan, COVID-19 Pandemic Response, and Health and Wellness programs.
2. Delivery of fitness to work services:
   1. Pre-placement and pre-employment
   2. Annual medical examination
   3. Executive examination (for Senior Managers and up)
   4. Medical surveillance
   5. Exit examination
   6. Fitness for duty and Return to work evaluation and clearance
3. Delivery of clinical and emergency medical services:
   1. Out-patient consultations
   2. Health information and dissemination
   3. First-aid/First responder
   4. Medical emergency response support, including monitoring of admitted patients
   5. COVID-19 Case Management and Pandemic Response
4. Maintain accurate and complete medical records while keeping medical information confidential.
5. Identification of potential occupational illnesses and injury.
6. Engage and maintain a network with external health stakeholders, including government and other regulatory agencies, external health providers, client health personnel, etc.
7. Participate in Occupational Health (OH) competency development and training program.
8. Ensure that clinical services provided are in accordance with established medical policies and procedures.
9. Support Occupational Health Adviser and the rest of the health team in implementing specific programs, such as:
   1. Health and wellness
   2. Immunization/vaccination programs
   3. Food safety
   4. Health recording, reporting, and investigation
   5. Clinic operations rationalization and standardization
   6. Health awareness and education
10. Perform other administrative functions:
    1. Assist in preparation and administration of OPEX/CAPEX for the clinic.
    2. Assist in preparation and submission of occupational health reports.

Qualifications:

1. Doctor of Medicine with an active license to practice medicine in the Philippines.
2. Preferably, with Master's degree in Public Health, Occupational Health, or Occupational Medicine, or fellow of the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM).
3. At least 3 years' experience in an occupational health leadership/management role in either private or public sector.
4. Prior experience in the development and implementation of programs in occupational health.
5. Computer Literate in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations.
