The Accounting Specialist role involves performing procedures assigned by senior staff members to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Throughout the engagement, the Accounting Specialist is responsible for conducting work in accordance with quality standards, adhering to professional guidelines and Firm protocols.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Engagement Management: The Accounting Specialist will manage engagements effectively, ensuring seamless communication with team members and clients.
  • Client Understanding: The candidate must have sufficient knowledge of client business industries, accounting principles, and relevant laws to perform job duties.
  • Accounting Policies: Demonstrate a clear understanding of client accounting policies and make informed decisions accordingly.
  • Procedure Execution: Execute procedures as outlined in the work program, with updates provided to superiors on work progress.
  • Communication: Communicate with clients regarding accounting instructions and issues, as instructed by the Accounting Manager.
  • Job-Related Tools: Utilize job-related tools efficiently, including Nexus, Office, Oracle, QuickBooks, and Xero.
  • Deliverables: Produce accurate and complete deliverables at all times, meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Confidentiality: Ensure that deliverables are sent to authorized recipients and marked appropriately for confidentiality when necessary.
  • Flexibility: Willingly take on new or different work assignments and schedules, modifying work methods to meet changing needs.
  • Matter Discussion: Show openness and objectivity in discussing matters with teammates and superiors.
  • Improvement Suggestions: Seek and recommend efficient ways to accomplish objectives better.
  • Teamwork: Work harmoniously and effectively with other team members, promoting a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant required for Senior Accounting Specialist
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Well-developed communication skills (oral and written)
  • Good interpersonal skills and positive work attitude
