**Job Summary**

The Nursing Care Specialist will be responsible for assessing, planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and revising individualized Treatment Plans for the well-being of our residents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prioritizing health problems and intervening appropriately to assist patients in emergency, complex, and urgent situations, including the commencement of valuable emergency care.
  • Consulting, providing advice and information about various health conditions or any minor ailments, referring them to other staff or to the On-call Doctor.
  • Performing routine procedures like monitoring vital signs, wound care, applying and removing dressings, nebulization, removal of sutures, catheterization as per Doctors' orders, suctioning, nasogastric tube insertion and feeding, tracheal care, administering vaccines, blood sugar monitoring, and insulin injection.
  • Checking the output of the caregiver.
  • Carrying out medical instructions and prescriptions of visiting doctors intended for the residents.
  • Making and sterilizing equipment for wound care such as gauze, cotton balls, Kelly forceps, Kelly clamps, suture scissors, and gloves.
  • Regularly updating the vital signs, medication, and nurses' notes of the residents' chart.
  • Preparing and administering medicines with strict compliance to the SOP.
  • Monitoring and timely inventory of medicine supply.
  • Informing promptly and clearly other departments regarding all necessary information needed to communicate to them, e.g., diet of patients to the Dietary Department.
  • Checking and ensuring that all the requirements during admission are complete and valid, securing the completed DNR form of the residents duly signed by the relatives.
  • Coordinating with relatives on all concerns regarding patients' health conditions, especially during emergencies.
  • Giving instructions to ward attendants and PCG regarding residents' precautions and limitations with regard to laboratory procedures, if there is an NPO order. The nurse must inform the relatives.
  • Evaluating patients at the end of every month.
  • Conducting regular physical examinations such as weighing and reporting it directly to the head nurse/chief nurse or to the On-Call Doctor if necessary.
  • Providing health advice to the working environment by complying with SOP, rules, regulations, and the Clean-as-you-go policy.
  • Monitoring the status of equipment used in the Nursing Department such as suction machines, oxygen tanks and regulators, nebulizers, etc. Defective tools or instruments should be reported immediately to the Head Nurse/Chief Nurse and coordinated with the maintenance department.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • A PRC License.
  • At least 1-2 years of related working experience, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

This role offers a flexible schedule with the option to work 12-hour shifts or 8-hour shifts.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

**Experience**

  • Nursing experience: 1 year preferred.
