About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Eteam Workforce Private Corporation. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our global infrastructure, including monitoring, security, incidents, and maintenance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the performance and security of our data centers and servers to ensure acceptable uptime and quality of service.
  • Handle alert maintenance or incidents on internal servers and coordinate with third-party providers regarding the configuration and maintenance of outsourced Global Sign services.
  • Regularly monitor and escalate security alerts related to changes in the servers and networking equipment, potential risks detected by monitoring applications, and reports from internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate with the Department Manager and internal/external partners regarding planned infrastructure activities (e.g., upgrade of software or hardware) and unplanned activities (e.g., network trouble) to ensure constant communication throughout any issues or outages.
  • Provide reports to internal partners (e.g., incident reports, utilization reports, or audit reports) and provide ad hoc reports that may be required by internal partners and Global Sign clients.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent four-year degree course.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of system administration work, including Linux administration, network troubleshooting, and management of cloud-based services.
  • Scripting and automation experience in bash and/or Python. Experience developing looping scripts for Ansible or Chef is a bonus.
  • Expert troubleshooting skills, able to investigate and resolve complex customer issues involving DDNS, TCP, HTTP(S), and proprietary applications, pushing back to the internal customer or support agent when appropriate.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating on projects and tasks.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Willing to work on a shifting schedule, including holidays.
