Production Technician

The role of a Production Technician involves ensuring the smooth operation of automated and manual machines to improve productivity and reduce breakdowns. To achieve set production targets, the technician should have awareness on quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in various production areas as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Own both troubleshooting and quality control of the product with respect to their process.
  • Flexible working hours in any shift are required.
  • Reduce machine downtime and support the production team to achieve production targets.
  • Improve line efficiency to reduce cycle time.
  • Poka-Yoke or mistake-proof implementation is essential.
  • Corrective & preventive actions are necessary.
  • Troubleshoot defects and correct the machine promptly.
  • Perform changeovers on the machine for part number changes.
  • Read drawings and understand quality requirements effectively.
  • Knowledge of end-product use and safety requirements is crucial.
  • Trigger critical spares knowledgeably.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on process improvements.
  • Awareness of quality targets is vital.
  • Apply 5S+1 (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Graduate or Associate Degree holder is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD/Creo 3D modeling is beneficial.
  • Reading and understanding drawings is essential.
