Swine Farm Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Swine Farm Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of a swine farm. The role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of swine production processes.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in supervisory roles in a swine farm, with a minimum of 2000 sows. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of all phases of the swine production process, including breeding, farrowing, and finishing. They will also be familiar with farm operations, including budgeting, cost management, and inventory control.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the swine farm
  • Develop and implement systems to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Manage farm staff and resources
  • Monitor and report on farm performance
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a swine farm
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Thorough knowledge of all phases of the swine production process
  • Familiarity with farm operations, including budgeting and cost management
