Financial Application Specialist

The Financial Application Specialist is the primary service contact assisting customers to effectively utilize software to meet their firm's business objectives.

This role provides technical consultative application support for a project-based environment. The role may be cross-trained or involved in other product offerings over time.

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers via phone, email, and online portal.
  • Document and track customer interactions using a case management system.
  • Use remote access utilities and other resources to replicate customer issues.
  • Leverage internal knowledgebase resources, peer knowledge, and documentation for known solutions.
  • Isolate causes and take corrective actions while minimizing disruption to the customer's business operation.
  • Communicate and recommend complex business process improvements and diverse information to resolve customer issues and potential future preventative actions.
  • Monitor and maintain dashboard metrics, including volume of active service requests and aging specifications of open service requests.
  • Provide high-level soft skills in communication with customers and internal peers, acting with an appropriate sense of urgency and following up to ensure issues are resolved to satisfaction.
  • Collaborate and interact with team, department, and interdepartmental peers to resolve customer issues effectively and timely.
  • Acquire and maintain expertise of software products and application suites, as well as operating platforms and how customers can utilize and/or adapt software to effectively manage their business both financially and operationally.
