Job Description

The Instructional Designer plays a crucial role in creating engaging and effective learning activities that meet the organization's objectives. This position is responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts to design, develop, and implement high-quality learning content.

Key responsibilities include applying best practices in instructional design, working closely with stakeholders to identify required learning outcomes, and selecting the most suitable delivery mechanisms to achieve these outcomes.

Additional tasks include:

  • Developing instructional end goals and creating content that aligns with them
  • Providing learner interactivity through exercises, activities, and other forms of engagement
  • Creating supporting materials such as audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, and assessments to measure learning effectiveness

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies (HTML) and multimedia formats (jpg, mp4, mp3)
  • Visual design skills (e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts

Prior experience in instructional design or a related field is highly desirable. A degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a similar relevant field is also preferred.
