The Role:

As a member of our Higher Education Sales team, the Academic Sales Consultant will plan, coordinate, and implement selling strategies in Higher Education and school institutions in the Philippines. The primary tasks of this position are to meet the assigned revenue and growth goals in the Philippines marketplace and to develop and manage opportunities/pipelines.

You will form relationships with decision makers, represent and promote Cengage Learning products to customers, and provide post-sales support as needed to drive sell-through, digital activations, and usage.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve faculty, department chairs, deans, and school administrators by finding or profiling textbook adoption requirements which includes print, eBooks, and digital solutions.
  2. Match print or digital solution requirements, sample, and close adoption.
  3. Coordinate adoptions with local booksellers for order taking.
  4. Create marketing activities to increase sell through.
  5. Synchronize sampling and/or promotion, coordinate adoptions with other CL Philippines Learning Consultants to increase volume orders of local booksellers.
  6. Update faculty on upcoming new editions and coordinate with local booksellers for inventory management.
  7. Cover Libraries and establish a way to supply library requirements for print and electronic.
  8. Develop and manage key accounts and prospects as required.
  9. Sales lead follow up.

Requirements:

  1. A graduate or post-graduate qualification is required.
  2. At least 2 years' experience in Sales & Marketing, preferably in Higher Education or Library market.
  3. Good disposition, resourceful, goal-driven, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Independent with a positive learning attitude and a sense of integrity.
  5. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
  6. Effective communication and good English communication skills.
  7. Must be highly motivated, organized, work independently, and possess strong selling skills.
