Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Drafting Specialist to join our team. This role involves creating detailed drawings and plans for residential construction projects. The successful candidate will have excellent drafting skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed drawings and plans for residential construction projects.
  • Recreate lot lines and generate site layout options using local GIS.
  • Develop options for house placement and orientation.
  • Ensure complete and accurate agency submittals while following OR and WA permitting procedures.
  • Generate lot-specific drawings and revise existing plan documents with engineering details.
Requirements
  • An associate's degree in the related field; bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of drafting experience or equivalent.
  • Residential construction or home remodeling drafting experience required.
  • Familiarity with building codes and permitting standards in WA and OR preferred.
  • Ability to conduct internet research and familiarity with local GIS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build rapport.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
