Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to perform bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of small business clients in the US. This includes maintaining accounting system records by performing recurring bookkeeping processes and creating schedules.

The ideal candidate will have exposure in bookkeeping, experience in reconciliation, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. They should also be able to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining top quality and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine accounting procedures such as bank, credit card, and payroll account reconciliations, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P)
  • Communicate open items or anomalies to staff accountants, and follow up to ensure items are fully resolved
  • Examine bank transactions and flag unknown transactions to the accountant or accounting lead
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation of reconciliation items in work papers
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in the related field is preferred
  • Exposure in bookkeeping
  • Experience in reconciliation and Microsoft Excel
  • Technical savvy and high attention to detail
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
