Experienced Property Accountant Needed for Short-Term Rental Properties.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced property accountant to manage our short-term rental properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing daily accounting operations for multiple short-term rental properties;
  • Reconciling bank accounts, merchant accounts, and booking platform payouts;
  • Tracking income, occupancy taxes, fees, and commissions from various rental platforms;
  • Preparing monthly financial statements and cash flow reports;
  • Coordinating with property managers or hosts regarding budget adherence and expense tracking;
  • Maintaining accurate records for audits and tax filings, including transient occupancy tax (TOT) or similar;
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning specific to seasonal rental cycles;

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the short-term rental or hospitality industry;
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with experience in short-term rental tools an asset;
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties/accounts.
