Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design, implementation, and operation of cloud-based infrastructure.

  • This role involves deploying and running OpenStack, Kubernetes, storage solutions, and open source applications using DevOps practices.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and addressing incidents, monitoring and observing applications, anticipating potential issues, and enabling product refinement to achieve high-quality standards in our portfolio.
  • Collaboration across the stack from bare-metal networking and kernel up to Kubernetes and open source applications is key to success.
  • A strong background in core technologies like OpenStack, Kubernetes, security standards, open source products such as Kubeflow, Kafka, OpenSearch, databases, and many others is essential.
  • Automation should be approached as a software engineering problem driven by metrics and code.
Requirements
  • A degree in software engineering or computer science is required.
  • Python software development experience is essential.
  • Operational experience in Linux environments is crucial.
  • Kubernetes deployment or operations experience is necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability are vital.
  • The ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long is required.
Bonus Skills
  • Familiarity with OpenStack deployment or operations is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with public cloud deployment or operations is desirable.
  • Familiarity with private cloud management is advantageous.
