Job Overview

The position of Senior ETO Engineer is a key role within our organization, focusing on the design and development of customized products for our clients. This individual will be responsible for leading the creation of innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. They should also be familiar with engineering principles, product design, and manufacturing processes.

We are seeking an experienced professional who can bring their expertise and passion for engineering to this challenging and rewarding position.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related Engineering field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 4 years engineering experience with a preference for ETO design/order execution within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency in Solidworks 3D and AutoCAD 2D for assembly/part, mechanical drawing and electrical schematic creation
  • Experience working with a manufacturing environment for support of unique/quick turn orders
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP System and PLM experience
Key Responsibilities
  1. Designing to special customer requests through Engineered to Order (ETO) product designs
  2. Providing manufacturing support for manufacture of ETO designs
  3. Offering technical leadership for ongoing customer inquiries
  4. Independently develop and direct a broad range of product design projects, assuming responsibility for all technical project activities, including high-level product design elements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with design of mechanical parts that are manufactured with sandcasting, die casting, metal stamping, sheet metal and other machining processes
  • Knowledge of UL/NEMA/NEC Standards, particularly in Power Distribution & Controls (e.g. 50/50E, 508/508A, 1203, 67)
  • Experience with Electrical enclosure design and applications
  • Experience with Industrial controls and circuit protection from various manufacturers
