Business Strategy Manager

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share in the garment sector. This entails overseeing daily operations, managing performance metrics, and forecasting, as well as building and guiding a high-performing management team to ensure company objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share
  • Operations Management: Oversee production processes, supply chain management, and quality control to ensure efficiency and product quality
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, financial performance, and forecasting to ensure financial targets are met
  • Team Leadership: Build and guide a high-performing management team to achieve company objectives
  • Market Research and Development: Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to drive product innovation and development
  • Sales and Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote garments and enhance brand image
  • Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure high-quality materials and timely production schedules
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, labor laws, and environmental standards, and assess and mitigate risks related to all areas of the business
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, clients, and partners, to build strong business relationships and ensure transparency
  • Sustainability Practices: Implement and promote sustainable practices within the garment manufacturing process to meet consumer demand for eco-friendly products

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration or any related field; an MBA or other relevant advanced degree is often preferred
  • Extensive experience in the garment industry, usually 10+ years, with a proven track record of leadership roles
  • Experience in operations management, strategic planning, and financial oversight
  • Strong ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in developing talent and fostering a positive organizational culture
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and competitive landscape
  • Ability to develop and implement long-term strategic plans
  • In-depth knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control
  • Understanding of market dynamics and consumer preferences in the apparel sector
  • Familiarity with labor laws, import/export regulations, and sustainability practices in the garment industry
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions to challenges that arise
  • Strong networking skills to build relationships with suppliers, clients, and industry stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and innovate in response to industry challenges
