About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Claims and Underwriting Coordinator at ICA Insurance and Surety Services. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and streamlining our claims and underwriting processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and process new claims, ensuring timely resolution and verifying policy coverage.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and insurance carriers.
- Assist clients with claim inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prepare and submit detailed claim reports.
- Gather and analyze underwriting information, including risk assessments and loss histories.
- Evaluate applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Input policy data into agency management systems.
- Assist in the preparation of underwriting submissions to carriers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in claims processing or underwriting within the non-life insurance industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
