Job Overview

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and ensuring project site safety. This is a 6-month project-based position that requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.

This role involves supervising assigned projects to ensure compliance with approved designs and standards. The ideal candidate will manage various construction projects, prepare cost estimates, quality assurance, and implement safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Supervision: Provide supervision on assigned projects to ensure compliance with approved design and standards.
  • Construction Management: Manage various construction projects, prepare cost estimates, quality assurance, and implement safety standards.
  • Team Guidance: Guide workers, liaise with vendors, and check the quality of materials.
  • Tech Advice: Provide technical advice and suggestions for improvement.
  • Material Validation: Validate quantity, condition, and approval of materials on site prior to Government issuing invoice payments.
  • Test Attendance: Attend/witness selected tests and review all applicable test reports and results.
  • Project Status Update: Keep the Government sponsor advised as to the status of projects under his/her administrative and technical control.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Engineering Technology.
  • Licensure: Must be a Licensed Engineer or Architect.
  • Work Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Superintendent, QC Manager, Construction Manager, or Inspector.
  • Superintendent Experience: At least two years of experience as a Superintendent.
  • Safety Knowledge: Familiar with EM 385-1-1 requirements and experienced in hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel Requirements: With a valid driver's license. Must be willing to travel to different project sites.
