About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Development Director to join our team at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). As a key member of our senior leadership, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Asia and the Pacific region.
Job Description
The Regional Development Director will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of regional strategies, policies, and programs that align with ADB's mission to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region. You will work closely with our regional teams, governments, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional strategies, policies, and programs that align with ADB's mission and goals.
- Lead the development and implementation of country partnership strategies, sector roadmaps, and programmatic approaches that address regional development challenges.
- Collaborate with governments, regional organizations, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for cooperation and innovation.
- Provide technical assistance and support to countries and regional partners to strengthen their capacity to address regional development challenges.
- Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, private sector leaders, and civil society organizations.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in international development, preferably in senior leadership positions.
- Demonstrated expertise in regional development, policy analysis, and project management.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with governments, private sector leaders, and civil society organizations.
- Strong understanding of ADB's mission, goals, and strategies.
