Job Role

AU Tax Accountant will draft financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgments for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individual businesses.

The ideal candidate will utilize their tax expertise to handle tax returns, activity statements, and stay updated on the latest Australian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgments
  • Handling tax returns, activity statements, and staying updated on Australian tax regulations
  • Providing tax planning advice and guiding clients through FBT, payroll tax, Div7a, CGT, and STP
  • Partnering with clients on business advisory projects, developing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management reports
  • Preparing work papers and ensuring accurate reconciliation to the financial statement stage
  • Maintaining detailed client files and work papers, ensuring compliance with all record-keeping requirements
  • Assisting clients with general bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate financial records

The successful AU Tax Accountant will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, minimum 3 years of experience in Australian taxation, and proficiency in preparing tax returns, activity statements, and various lodgements.
