Web Developer Role Overview

As a skilled web developer, you will be responsible for the front-end and back-end development of websites using WordPress. This includes creating custom themes, plugins, and optimizing performance to ensure seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement new features and functionalities on websites.
  • Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific needs.
  • Ensure high-performance and availability of websites through efficient coding practices.
  • Collaborate with designers and content teams to deliver engaging user experiences.
  • Monitor and maintain website security, backups, and updates to prevent any potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
  • Optimize websites for speed and SEO to improve search engine rankings.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a WordPress developer (2+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON/XML formats.
  • Strong grasp of website architecture and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with WooCommerce or other eCommerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
  • Familiarity with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
  • Experience with website migration and performance testing.
