About the Role

The Junior Naval Architect will be responsible for undertaking Naval Architecture/structural deliverables (calculations, drawings, requisitions, reports, investigations, and trials) for assigned projects/tasks.

The role requires close coordination and communication with the design team, production, and other external stakeholders to ensure that structural/Naval Architectural deliverables meet vessel specifications, flag requirements, and Classification Society requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Undertake Naval Architecture/structural deliverables for assigned projects/tasks
  2. Closely coordinate and communicate with the design team, production, and other external stakeholders

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Naval Architect in new shipbuilding projects
  • Good knowledge of classification society and flag rule requirements
  • Strong skills in 2D AutoCAD
  • Excellent technical skills and ability to problem-solve
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English

Desirable Qualifications

  • Aluminum or steel shipbuilding experience
  • Licensed Philippine Naval Architect or Structural Engineer
  • Familiarity with 3D SHIP CAD software such as SHIPCON
