We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Tax Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, advising clients on tax-related matters, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review U.S. individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
  • Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, and structuring matters
  • Represent clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, and collection cases
  • Assist in preparing responses to IRS notices and handling tax controversy matters
  • E nsure timely and accurate filings with adherence to IRS and state-specific guidelines
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on tax issues
  • Keep up to date with U.S. tax laws, international tax treaties, and IRS updates
  • Support ITIN application and acceptance agent services
  • Train junior staff or tax associates as needed
Requirements:
  • Must be an Enrolled Agent (EA) with current IRS credentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation and consulting
  • Strong understanding of U.S. tax codes, especially for individuals and small businesses
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax)
  • Familiarity with FATCA, FBAR, and foreign asset reporting
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with taxation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Experience with complex tax issues and strategies is a plus
