This is a rare opportunity for an accounting professional to play a pivotal role in a business acquisition and ongoing operations.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in conducting comprehensive financial due diligence, navigating the complexities of a business purchase, and establishing robust accounting practices for the new ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough review and analysis of existing business books and financial records to support the acquisition process
  • Provide expert guidance on the financial aspects of the business purchase transaction
  • Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and requirements
  • Prepare and review tax returns in accordance with local, state, and federal tax laws
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify tax optimization opportunities and mitigate potential risks
  • Deliver strategic tax planning advice to inform critical business decisions
  • Serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities and represent the company during audit processes
  • Provide ongoing accounting and tax services to support business growth post-acquisition

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or ACCA certification highly valued
  • Proven experience working with businesses and comprehensive knowledge of tax compliance requirements
  • Qualified to practice accounting
  • Proficiency with accounting software, Xero experience preferred
  • Experience with business acquisitions or due diligence processes desirable but not essential
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
