Job Overview:

  • Develop and implement secure infrastructure solutions through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, coordinate timely patching efforts, and perform configuration hardening to ensure the security of all platforms.

  • Support security monitoring and incident response initiatives by providing technical insights into platform architecture, assisting in forensic analysis, containment, and eradication efforts.

  • Apply cloud security best practices, configure cloud-native security services, manage identity and access management within the cloud, and maintain compliance with relevant cloud security frameworks.

  • Ensure that platforms and systems adhere to relevant security policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards through proactive governance and compliance measures.

  • Act as a security advocate, providing guidance, training, and sharing expertise to foster a security-conscious culture across the organization through effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Design and implement solutions that balance security and efficiency, leveraging distributed systems and cloud-native architectures to achieve optimal performance and scalability.

Key Qualifications:

  • A strong foundation in security principles, network protocols, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and application security is essential.

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell) is required.

  • Experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, SIEMs, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions is highly valued.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services is necessary.

  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef) is desirable.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are crucial for working effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS GIAC certifications, cloud security certifications) are often highly valued.
