Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical leadership group, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our data architecture and engineering capabilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading small to medium-sized technical teams, designing and implementing logical and physical data models, and driving data architectures to support various data formats.

Responsibilities include expertise in multiple full life-cycle data warehouse implementations, experience with data modeling technologies such as ER/Studio, and ability to provision and configure Azure data service resources.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to learn and apply new technologies quickly, and possess a solid understanding of cloud architecture and competency in building out data pipelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience leading small to medium-sized technical teams, including work allocation and representing the team in Agile ceremonies.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing logical and physical data models for cloud and hybrid data warehouse environments.
  • Implementing data architectures to support various data formats, including structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience with multiple full life-cycle data warehouse implementations.
  • Understanding of data architectures required for data integration processing.
  • Experience with data modeling technologies such as ER/Studio, ER/Win or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
  • Data profiling and creation of source to target mappings.
  • Ability to provision and configure Azure data service resources.

Other Requirements

General Cloud Architecture competency - Capable of building out data pipelines.

API knowledge is required; preference for candidates who can create APIs.

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications: Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and semantic modeling.
