Realcognita Inc. is looking for a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to work closely with our IT team, users, and business leaders to plan, design, build, and monitor our networks and systems.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and managing security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard cloud resources and data.
  • Monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conducting regular security assessments and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses.
  • Configuring and maintaining security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Collaborating with IT and development teams to implement security controls and best practices in new and existing systems and applications.
  • Responding to security incidents in a timely manner, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Providing security awareness training and guidance to employees to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance.
  • Staying current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent years of work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
  • A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus software, network monitoring tools, and encryption.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS).
  • Knowledge and experience with Active Directory, DHCP, Exchange, File & Print Services, VPNs.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, AU Essential Eight.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience with AWS.
  • The ability to operate comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a fluency in English (both verbal and written).
