Job Title: Database Script Engineer

Location: Remote (North America ET hours preferred)

Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Script Engineer who is passionate about designing and building scalable data solutions. This role supports both PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments and will play a key role in supporting one-off requests, writing complex SQL queries, and contributing to the modernization of our database infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Build internal tooling that helps product teams deliver faster and more accurately
  • Grow your technical expertise across cloud databases, schema design, and Aurora optimization
  • Navigate complex multi-tenant PostgreSQL schemas to extract, transform, and deliver data
  • Assist in modernizing legacy database flows by planning and supporting migrations to AWS Aurora
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to scope and fulfill data-related needs
  • Participate in production troubleshooting and scheduled after-hours support rotations when needed
  • Key Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance
  • Familiarity with Java-based ORMs and their impact on schema design
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant environments, ideally using schema-per-customer models
