Automotive Workshop Manager

The Head Mechanic plays a pivotal role in ensuring that vehicles or machinery are serviced and repaired to industry standards and in line with customer expectations. This individual oversees and coordinates all mechanical repair and maintenance activities within a workshop or service facility.
Main Responsibilities- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of skilled mechanics and technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Work Assignment: Assign tasks and manage workflow to guarantee timely completion of repair and maintenance work.
- Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
This role also involves troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, overseeing the repair and maintenance of various mechanical systems, and implementing quality control procedures to ensure all repairs meet stringent standards of workmanship.
Additional Duties- Customer Service: Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring proper storage and ordering of materials.
- Financial Planning: Assist in budgeting and financial planning related to repair shop operations.
To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate must be well-versed in the latest mechanical technologies, tools, and repair techniques, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
