Assistant Developer for Microsoft Power Apps and Automation

We are looking for a skilled Power Platform Developer to join our team and help us build custom solutions that transform businesses and improve lives.

About the Role:

As an Assistant Global Power Platform Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. You will work closely with our business areas and stakeholders to establish governance, guidance, training, and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with Power Platform leads to oversee usage and manage the platform effectively.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and Power Platform leads to gather requirements and leverage Power Platform as a solution to meet business needs.
  • Design, develop, secure, and extend Power Platform solutions and reusable components based on business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to the solutions you create.
  • Design and develop user-friendly UI/UX experiences.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the business through our Community of Practice or Ticketing Tool.
  • Nurture the Poutrix Power Platform Developers community by providing best practices, guidelines, and guardrails through SharePoint articles, documents, training, and hosting monthly global calls.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power Platform features and technologies.
  • Align with organizational best practices and governance (e.g., InfoSec, Privacy, Data Sovereignty, Access Rights & Permissions).
  • Collaborate with the wider team to define, create, and promote best practices for organizational compliance.
  • Work with Global IT and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and optimization using Power Platform.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of developed solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free of bugs and errors.
Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years' development experience working within Power Platform and Dataverse/Common Data Service.
    • Holding a Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate certification is an advantage.
    • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps), Dataverse, Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop flows), Power Pages, and/or Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents).
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, and/or Microsoft 365 (SharePoint and Teams) is preferable.
    • Experience with Azure DevOps and Power Platform pipelines to manage Power Platform solution lifecycle is preferable.
    • Experience with GitHub is preferable.
    • Development experience using JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, C#, HTML, .NET, Azure, Microsoft 365, RESTful web services, ASP.NET and/or Power Query is an advantage.
  • Methodology Experience:
    • Experience working in the software development lifecycle using an Agile approach is preferable.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders.
    • Maintains an awareness of developing technologies and their application and takes responsibility for personal development.
    • Familiarity with data modelling, database design, and data integration techniques.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovate.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
