Overview

Job Title: Packaging/Carton Designer

We are seeking a skilled Packaging/Carton Designer to join our team. This role involves designing and developing folding carton structures that meet specific product dimensions and client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in structural design for folding cartons (chipboard boxes) and be proficient in ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design.

This is a full-time remote position with a standard working schedule of 9 AM - 5 PM EST.

Job Description

Folding Carton Structure Design: Design and develop folding carton structures to fit specific product dimensions and client requirements.

Dieline Creation: Create dielines and 3D prototypes using ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design.

Collaboration: Collaborate with clients and production teams to ensure accurate specs and production readiness.

Box Style and Material Recommendation: Recommend box styles and materials based on product protection, cost-efficiency, and branding.

Maintenance of Project Files: Maintain organized project files and version control.

Structural Optimization: Optimize structural design for manufacturability and assembly.

Industry Trend Update: Stay up to date with industry trends and materials.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in folding carton/structural packaging design
  • Proficient in ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, die-cutting, gluing, and finishing processes
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into packaging solutions
  • Experience with various folding styles (e.g., tuck-end, crash bottom, lock bottom, sleeve, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
