Back-End Developer Position

We are seeking a seasoned Back-End Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs that power scalable, high-performing applications.


  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs using advanced software development methodologies.
  • Develop and manage public-facing APIs, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient access.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment of high-quality products.
  • Implement observability practices using tools such as Datadog or New Relic for real-time monitoring and performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to align backend architecture with product needs and goals.
  • Work with PostgreSQL and PostGIS for advanced SQL and geospatial data management, leveraging their capabilities to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Develop and deploy solutions within AWS environments (API Gateway, Lambda, Serverless Stack), utilizing their scalability and flexibility to meet business demands.
  • Support microservices-based architectures and event-driven workflows (e.g., webhooks), ensuring seamless communication between systems and services.
  • Ensure adherence to agile methodologies and best practices throughout the development lifecycle, driving productivity and innovation.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in back-end software development, including building public-facing API products.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with expertise in frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.
  • Highly proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL, with experience in geospatial extensions like PostGIS.
  • Solid understanding of full-stack technologies required to build and run APIs.
  • Skilled in RESTful API design and management, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, and the Serverless Stack.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven technologies such as webhooks.
  • Production-level experience with observability tools like Datadog or New Relic.
  • Strong grasp of CI/CD methodologies and ability to build and maintain pipelines effectively.
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies.
