SAP Test Automation Specialist

About the Job:

  • Collaborate with the project team to assess and evaluate manual test cases for suitability for automation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tosca Testsuite, adhering to defined QA standards and methodologies.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues with existing automated test scripts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure the quality of team deliverables.
  • Establish and configure testing environments for executing automated test cases and scenarios.
  • Execute automated test scripts in accordance with project scope and schedule.
  • Monitor test results and report discrepancies using defect tracking tools.
  • Validate defect fixes.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of test progress, risks, and issues in accordance with project risk and issue management plans.
  • Work with the application team to resolve any issues arising during the testing process.
  • Recommend improvements to existing policies, procedures, and technology, and assist in their implementation.
  • Participate in manual functional testing as needed, executing manual test cases and scripts for products under development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and the role of testing within it.
  • Proven experience with Tosca Testsuite for test automation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript or C#.
  • Familiarity with the Tosca Framework (TBox, Classic, etc.).
  • Hands-on integration of Tosca with Test Management tools like QTest.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.

Nice to Have:

  • Tosca certification or other relevant certifications.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Understanding of SAP Solution Manager Integration and Tosca Orchestrated Service.
  • Virtualization (OSV) is a plus.
  • Experience with testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
