Network Engineering Opportunity

KCAT is undertaking an ambitious project to upgrade its ISP infrastructure for enhanced scalability, resilience, and observability. We are seeking a seasoned Network Engineer who will spearhead the design and deployment of our next-generation BNG, edge, and access platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy BGP edge routers with RPKI/ROV, uRPF, Flowspec, and RTBH functionality
• Implement IPoE BNG systems with per-sub QoS enforcement, DHCPv6-PD, and IPv6-first routing
• Integrate OLTs via ACS (GenieACS) and TR-069 protocols with ZTP support
• Develop an observability stack incorporating Prometheus, Grafana, sFlow/NetFlow, and Alertmanager
• Create and validate edge ACLs, scrubbing integration, and anomaly detection alerts
• Mentor junior engineers and document runbooks and rollback procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in ISP-grade routing/switching, preferably with FRR, VyOS, or OcNOS
• Deep understanding of BGP/OSPF, PPPoE/IPoE, uRPF, QoS, NAT, and AAA
• Working knowledge of Proxmox, Linux, containerized monitoring (Docker/Prometheus stack)
• Familiarity with optical fiber networks, OLT/ONU provisioning, VLAN planning
• Ability to work effectively in a countryside environment

Bonus Skills

• Ansible/Git-based config deployment
• IPoE session scale validation using iperf3 and TREX
• Scripting for automation using Python, shell, and REST API
• Experience with multicast, EVPN, or MPLS in SP environments
