DevOps Engineer II Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Research & Development team.

  • The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and reliability of our .NET/C# multi-tenant SaaS software platform hosted in Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To respond to alerts, investigate issues, and identify root causes to ensure the stability and reliability of the SaaS environment.
  2. To develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
  3. To implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including configuration, automation, and monitoring, to facilitate fast and reliable software releases.
  4. To utilize Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to containerize applications and scale them efficiently.
  5. To manage cloud resources on the Azure platform optimizing cost, security, and performance.
  6. To set up monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure the availability, performance, and security of systems and applications.
  7. To collaborate with the security team to implement best practices for security, compliance, and vulnerability management.
  8. To write scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
  9. To work closely with development to understand underlying requirements and implement infrastructure to support it.
  10. To create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and processes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of major cloud service provider operations experience is required.
  • Experience maintaining, scaling, and operating a consumer multi-tenant offering, including handling alerts, troubleshooting issues, and identifying root causes during investigations.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a SaaS organization is required.
  • Proven experience with containers and container orchestrations systems (Kubernetes and Helm Charts) is required.
  • Experience designing, improving, and operating CI/CD release pipelines is required.
  • Templating and Configuration Languages for one or more of the following is required: Azure Resource Manager (ARM/Bicep), Terraform, JSON, YAML.
  • PowerShell experience is required.
  • Ability to work rotational weekend is required.
