Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to take ownership of accounting functions at various portfolio companies. As a key member of the accounting team, you will work closely with management teams to provide financial expertise and support.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. They will be responsible for managing month-end close processes, recording bank transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and preparing general ledger entries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end close processes, record bank transactions, reconcile bank accounts, and prepare general ledger entries.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations, contribute to the development of new accounting systems and programs, and research technical accounting issues.
  • Interact with auditors during annual audit preparations, manage corporate credit card programs, and be willing to assist with other accounting functions as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, with expertise in US companies and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
