Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend components of our platform.

Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and testing high-scale data pipelines using Golang. You will work closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure that your code meets the highest standards of quality and maintainability.

You will craft code that adheres to established style guidelines and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Additionally, you will collaborate with other GitLab teams to help integrate monitoring and insights features into their product areas.

This role requires strong database experience and a background in working with distributed, scalable, and reliable systems. Familiarity with modern DevOps platforms and tools like Prometheus or Grafana is also essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Professional Experience: 2+ years of experience with Golang and PostgreSQL.
  • Database Experience: Strong understanding of database concepts and experience with ClickHouse databases.
  • Distributed Systems: Experience working with distributed, scalable, and reliable systems.
  • DevOps Tools: Familiarity with modern DevOps platforms and tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
